BACKGROUND:

This original steel bodied '33 was built into a gasser by Mel Bryson and Twig Ziegler and put on the strip in 1968 with a Hemi. The body had 2 more owners after Mel and Twig. Then I bought it. I had to have a Gasser and this was "STEEL".....go nuts.  We ran a carburetor until we got  jobs, then injected gas until we got better jobs, even ran a percentage of  Nitro when Andyman and LB saved a bit of cash. Then, Bill Fitting built us a new chassis. LB, Andyman and myself built the power plant. Bryan Adams did all the detail fabrication on the new chassis, Blair (Big Daddy) Polack spearheaded the build and then we bolted the components together and hit the road to run against the best Gasser Guys out there.

We towed, we raced. We lost a bunch, we won a couple on the A/Gas side, ate some humble pie, and  we learned a lot from our friends.  Today, we're still trying to catch the best Gasser racers out there.  Brute force and perseverance should get us a AA/Supercharged win at one of these events!

The people that make it happen:  My crew, Blair Polak, along with Shaun, Derek and Gerry, Bryan Adams, David Mullen, Jim Myshak, Joey Steckler, Parker McLean, Jim Bell, Bruce Walker, Les Davenport & Shawn Brown, Rob & Kim Reeves, Murray Johnston, Darryl Webb, Leslie Bourdin, Bill Fitting, Al Hunka, Wade Gagnon, Tom Stroud, Shari Emblau, Phil & Dee Morris, Ken McIntyre and all my friends and fans that support the wildest ride at the strip....so remember "Drive it like you stole it...and never lift"             Thanks to all, sincerely.........
